Best Hypnotherapy Chatswood: Clinical Hypnotherapist Samantha Jones
You’ve come to the right place: my Hypnotherapy Chatswood blog post!
I’m taking a wild guess that you have arrived here from your search for the best hypnotherapy Chatswood has to offer. Welcome!
As a North Shore native growing up in Lindfield, and having been in private practice for over 20 years, specifically Lindfield, Wahroonga and briefly Hornsby, back to Lindfield and then back to Wahroonga again, the northern suburbs of Sydney, are dear to my heart.
I have seen many hypnotherapists come and go over the years (I’ve served on the board of 2 reputable Hypnotherapy Associations as Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Hypnosis Advisory Line and Referral Service & Assistant Marketing Executive).
I’ve had too many clients tell me of their unfortunate, unpleasant experiences and plead with me to do more to educate and inform the public: With the advances in technology and low cost to set up, along with ease of marketing these days through various avenues (e.g., web pages, social media), anyone can set up as and call themselves a hypnotherapist, from as little as an idea to a few hours of a course!
It pays to be sure of who you are entrusting your mind matters with.
COVID-19 has provided me this time to reach people in need of, or considering hypnotherapy for themselves or a loved one. Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp and other online platforms have opened up amazing windows of opportunity to resolve mental health issues, build confidence, stop nail biting or get motivated and start losing weight right in the comfort of your own home or office. I literally come to you virtually, whether you be in Chatswood, Roseville, Lindfield, Killara, Gordon, Pymble, St Ives, Turramurra, Warrawee or anywhere else!
Clinical Hypnotherapist Samantha Jones can help you with:
Chatswood has become such an eclectic mix of culture, food and shopping. All mesmerizing in their own right, there is never a shortage of things to do or see in Chatswood. I love the way it has evolved from meeting outside ‘Prouds the Jewellers’ pre mobile phone days to losing yourself in something new and tasty in Hawker Lane at Westfields!
It reminds me of a client I saw not so long ago, let’s call her Miss V, who suffered from anxiety, particularly around doing anything on her own. The thought of eating by herself sent her into a full scale panic attack that could last for 30 mins at a time. She feared paradoxically that no one would help her if she needed assistance – she also had a fear of fainting or passing out in crowds – but at the same time she didn’t want anyone to notice her or that she was anxious or be a burden on anyone else. So, like a lot of sufferers of anxiety she just avoided more and more situations, and the anxiety became intolerable.
People without these anxieties or social phobias find it difficult to comprehend and will happily ask for another size in clothes boutique or tell wait staff if their order isn’t right in a cafe as examples.
She came to me as a referral from another client who also had suffered from anxiety previous to seeing me, however she was free of it finally after working through her issues together.
Miss V was very anxious at our first consultation, and it was a very big step to come in to see me. Like lots of anxious clients she was in fear of not being in control and asked a lot of questions about the process. I won’t spoil the story by giving too much detail but, after being courageous enough to just have an experience of deep relaxation and hypnotic comfort, and validating for herself that she was in the driver’s seat, we made significant headway over several sessions and she was excited to come to each session of clinical hypnotherapy.
She had been to psychologists before but was unable to apply cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques because her anxiety took over, and she felt very silly doing it, and like a failure that she couldn’t help herself.
The thing she valued the most about coming to see me was that she didn’t have to do anything to ‘manage’ her anxiety because it just wasn’t a problem for her any longer, we had resolved it, and she felt free and liberated from the constraints her own mind imposed on her without guilt or self condemnation.
Miss V’s ultimate goal was to eat on her own and feel comfortable doing so, and, you guessed it, she went to Hawker Lane, and eventually many the Chinese eateries and other food courts in and around Chatswood all on her own, and could shop to her hearts content without a care in the world and total confidence! Her life became as normal as she hoped it could be, and she was very grateful and wished she had seen me as a first port of call rather than after many years of regular therapy.
